Cumberland Road

After a number of unsuccessful planning applications, the client approached Milan Babic Architects with this vacant corner site in East London. Located in a predominately residential area, the proposal had to be sympathetic to the scale and character of the surrounding Victorian terraces whilst accommodating the needs of modern living. The result was a simple, cohesive architectural language that took formal and material cues from the surrounding buildings.
